Piper Buersmeyer has been serving the Pacific Northwest for 19 years, first as a nurse at the Portland VA Medical Center and then as a PMHNP after graduating from Oregon Health and Science University in 2009. Piper worked for Western Psychological and Counseling for 6 1/2 years until transitioning to full time private practice in 2014. Creating and operating PiperNP Psychiatry Services is when she confirmed her love for entrepreneurship. Piper mastered the intricacies of business management, complete patient care, marketing and the extensive systems required to run a successful practice while maintaining balance.
Seeing an opportunity to be the first deep TMS clinic in SW Washington, Piper co-founded TMS NW in 2017. TMS NW set the standard for patient care, TMS policies and clinic standards. Piper worked diligently with multiple insurance companies and State Boards of Nursing to expand PMHNPs' scope of practice to provide TMS independently. Piper worked tirelessly to establish PMHNPs as valued and respected professional colleagues recognized within the Clinical TMS Society and beyond. TMS NW also became one of the first clinics to provide Spravato services to the area.
Desiring to have a larger impact in her community for both clients and PMHNPs, Piper expanded her private practice by co-founding Med Rx Partners in 2019. Piper worked diligently to create a unique PMHNP training program with a particular focus on supporting new graduates. Piper focused on creating systems with a goal to provide high quality and efficient care while preventing provider burnout. Piper cultivated a culture of collaboration between the providers, administrative team and clients to ensure mutual respect, accountability and clear communication. Sharing a common vision and love for the work has created a meaningful and fulfilling work environment amongst the team at Med Rx Partners.
